Gets or sets a value indicating whether the text in the SelectCommand property is an SQL query or the name of a stored procedure.
Namespace:
System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:
System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Property SelectCommandType As SqlDataSourceCommandType
Dim instance As SqlDataSource
Dim value As SqlDataSourceCommandType
value = instance.SelectCommandType
instance.SelectCommandType = value
public SqlDataSourceCommandType SelectCommandType { get; set; }
public:
property SqlDataSourceCommandType SelectCommandType {
SqlDataSourceCommandType get ();
void set (SqlDataSourceCommandType value);
}
public function get SelectCommandType () : SqlDataSourceCommandType
public function set SelectCommandType (value : SqlDataSourceCommandType)
<asp:SqlDataSource SelectCommandType="SqlDataSourceCommandType" />
The SelectCommandType property delegates to the SelectCommandType property of the SqlDataSourceView object that is associated with the SqlDataSource control.
The following code example demonstrates how to set the SelectCommand text to the name of a stored procedure and the SelectCommandType property to the StoredProcedure value, in order to retrieve data from a Microsoft SQL Server database and display it in a DropDownList control.
