ObjectDataSourceView.OnObjectCreating Method

Raises the ObjectCreating event before the ObjectDataSourceView object creates an instance of a business object to perform a data operation.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
protected virtual void OnObjectCreating(
	ObjectDataSourceEventArgs e
)

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Consuming Events.

The OnObjectCreating method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding the OnObjectCreating method in a derived class, be sure to call the OnObjectCreating method for the base class so that registered delegates receive the event.
