Menu::SelectedValue Property

Gets the value of the selected menu item.

Property Value

Type: System::String
The value of the selected menu item. The default is Empty, which indicates that no menu item is currently selected.

Use the SelectedValue property as a shortcut to determine the text of the selected menu item. To access the other properties of the selected menu item, use the SelectedItem property.

The following code example demonstrates how to use the SelectedValue property to determine the text of the selected menu item in a Menu control.
