Property Value

Type: System..::.String
The text of the link to the password recovery page. The default is Empty.

The PasswordRecoveryText property contains the text of a link to the password recovery page for the site. The URL of the password recovery page is specified in the PasswordRecoveryUrl property.

If PasswordRecoveryUrl is empty, the text in the PasswordRecoveryText property is displayed to the user, but is not formatted as a link.

If the PasswordRecoveryText property is empty, the link to the password recovery page is not available to the user.

The value of this property, when set, can be saved automatically to a resource file by using a designer tool. For more information, see LocalizableAttribute and ASP.NET Globalization and Localization.

The following example sets the PasswordRecoveryText property to specify the text of the link to the site's password recovery page. The example displays a login form and sets the PasswordRecoveryUrl and PasswordRecoveryText properties. If the user clicks Forgot your password?, the getPass.aspx page is displayed.
