GridView.IsBindableType Method

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Determines whether the specified data type can be bound to a column in a GridView control.

Parameters

type

A System.Type that represents the data type to test.

Return Value

true if the specified data type can be bound to a column in a GridView control; otherwise, false.

The IsBindableType method is a helper method that is commonly used by control developers to programmatically determine whether the specified data type can be bound to a column in a GridView control. The following data types can be bound to a column in a GridView control:

Windows 98, Windows 2000 SP4, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP SP2, Windows XP Starter Edition
