FormView.OnInit Method

Raises the Init event.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

protected internal override void OnInit (
	EventArgs e
)
protected void OnInit (
	EventArgs e
)
protected internal override function OnInit (
	e : EventArgs
)
Not applicable.

Parameters

e

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

The OnInit method is called by the FormView control to raise the Init event. It is generally used by control developers when extending the FormView class.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnInit method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors: When overriding OnInit in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnInit method so that registered delegates receive the event.
