Occurs when an Insert button within a DetailsView control is clicked, but before the insert operation.
Assembly: System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
The event is raised when an Insert button within a DetailsView control is clicked, but before the insert operation. This allows you to provide an event handler that performs a custom routine, such as canceling the insert operation, whenever this event occurs.
A DetailsViewInsertEventArgs object is passed to the event handler, which allows you to indicate that the insert operation should be canceled. To cancel the insert operation, set the Cancel property to true. You can also manipulate the Values collection, if necessary, before the values are passed to the data source.
For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.
