UserControl.DesignerInitialize Method

Performs any initialization steps on the user control that are required by RAD designers.

[Visual Basic]
Public Sub DesignerInitialize()
[C#]
public void DesignerInitialize();
[C++]
public: void DesignerInitialize();
[JScript]
public function DesignerInitialize();

Example

[Visual Basic, C#] The following example calls the DesignerInitialize method during the Page_Init stage of request processing. This makes the user control available to a RAD designer such as Visual Studio .NET.

[Visual Basic]
' Initialize the UserControl object that has been created declaratively.
   myControl.InitializeAsUserControl(Me)

[C#]
// Initialize the UserControl object that has been created declaratively.
   myControl.InitializeAsUserControl(this);

[C++, JScript] No example is available for C++ or JScript. To view a Visual Basic or C# example, click the Language Filter button Language Filter in the upper-left corner of the page.
