DeviceSpecific.EnableViewState Property

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the control automatically saves its state for use in round trips. This API is obsolete. For information about how to develop ASP.NET mobile applications, see the www.asp.net/mobile Web site.

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the control automatically saves its state; otherwise, false.

You can disable view-state management for the page by using the EnableViewState attribute of the @ Page directive, or you can disable view state on individual controls by setting their individual EnableViewState properties.

Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core Role not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core Role supported with SP1 or later; Itanium not supported)
