An object that represents the style rules in the HtmlHead control.

The StyleSheet property returns an IStyleSheet that represents the embedded style rules in the HtmlHead control.

NoteNote:

Adding styles or style rules programmatically during asynchronous postbacks is not supported. When you add AJAX capabilities to an ASP.NET Web page, asynchronous postbacks update regions of the page without updating the whole page. For more information, see ASP.NET AJAX Overview.

The following example shows how to programmatically add an embedded style rule for the HTML body element. This example is part of a larger example provided for the HtmlHead class.

Visual Basic
' Add the style rule named bodyStyle to the header
' of the current page. The rule is for the body HTML element.
Page.Header.StyleSheet.CreateStyleRule(bodyStyle, Nothing, "body")

C#
// Add the style rule named bodyStyle to the header
// of the current page. The rule is for the body HTML element.
Page.Header.StyleSheet.CreateStyleRule(bodyStyle, null, "body");
