ViewEvent.Paint Field

Note: This field is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Indicates that a view event was raised for drawing a control on the design surface.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.Design
Assembly: System.Design (in system.design.dll)

public static readonly ViewEvent Paint
public static final ViewEvent Paint
public static final var Paint : ViewEvent

A ViewEventHandler delegate method compares the EventType property to the static ViewEvent fields to determine which type of action raised the event. A ViewEvent object is equal to Paint to indicate a paint event on the control on the design surface.

The ControlDesigner class supplies a default ViewEventHandler delegate. If the event type is Paint, the delegate calls the OnPaint method. Classes deriving from the ControlDesigner class override the OnPaint method to handle click events on a region at design time.
