IHierarchicalDataSourceDesigner Interface

Provides design-time support in a visual designer for a class that is derived from the HierarchicalDataSourceControl class.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.Design
Assembly:  System.Design (in System.Design.dll)

public interface IHierarchicalDataSourceDesigner

The IHierarchicalDataSourceDesigner type exposes the following members.

Public propertyCanConfigureGets a value indicating whether the Configure method can be called.
Public propertyCanRefreshSchemaGets a value indicating whether the RefreshSchema method can be called.

Public methodConfigureLaunches the configuration wizard for the underlying data source.
Public methodGetViewGets the named data source view that is associated with the data source control.
Public methodRefreshSchemaRefreshes the schema of the underlying data source.
Public methodResumeDataSourceEventsRestores events after calling the SuppressDataSourceEvents method.
Public methodSuppressDataSourceEventsTurns off events in the data source control.

Public eventDataSourceChangedOccurs when a data source control has changed in some way that affects data-bound controls.
Public eventSchemaRefreshedOccurs when the fields or data of the underlying data source have changed.

Typically, when creating a new data source class for hierarchical data and an accompanying designer, you would inherit the HierarchicalDataSourceDesigner class rather than implement the IHierarchicalDataSourceDesigner interface.
