MachineKey.Decode Method

Note: This API is now obsolete.

Decodes and/or validates data that has been encrypted or provided with a hash-based message authentication code (HMAC).

Parameters

encodedData
Type: System.String

The encrypted data to decrypt and/or validate.

protectionOption
Type: System.Web.Security.MachineKeyProtection

Indicates whether the encodedData parameter should be encrypted and/or hashed.

Return Value

Type: System.Byte()
A Byte array that represents the decrypted data.
