IHttpAsyncHandler.BeginProcessRequest Method

Initiates an asynchronous call to the HTTP handler.

Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
IAsyncResult BeginProcessRequest(
	HttpContext context,
	AsyncCallback cb,
	Object extraData
)

Parameters

context
Type: System.Web.HttpContext

An HttpContext object that provides references to intrinsic server objects (for example, Request, Response, Session, and Server) used to service HTTP requests.

cb
Type: System.AsyncCallback

The AsyncCallback to call when the asynchronous method call is complete. If cb is null, the delegate is not called.

extraData
Type: System.Object

Any extra data needed to process the request.

Return Value

Type: System.IAsyncResult
An IAsyncResult that contains information about the status of the process.

Supported in: 4.5, 4, 3.5, 3.0, 2.0, 1.1, 1.0

Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core Role not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core Role supported with SP1 or later; Itanium not supported)
