Parameters

wr
Type: System.Web..::.HttpWorkerRequest
An HttpWorkerRequest for the current application.

The wr parameter is nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Remarks

This method is provided for use when your code implements its own hosting environment. It also can be used to execute child requests when your code implements its own HttpWorkerRequest.

HttpRuntime.ProcessRequest cannot be used in IIS Integrated Pipeline mode
The remarks above state that this method "can be used to execute child requests when your code implements its own HttpWorkerRequest." This is not true when ASP.NET is operating in Integrated Pipeline mode.

On .NET 3.5, calling this function in IIS Integrated Pipeline mode results in PlatformNotSupportedException:

The HttpRuntime.ProcessRequest method is not supported by IIS integrated pipeline mode.
