HttpContext.GetSection Method

Gets a specified configuration section for the current application's default configuration.

Namespace:  System.Web
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
public Object GetSection(
	string sectionName
)

Parameters

sectionName
Type: System.String
The configuration section path (in XPath format) and the configuration element name.

Return Value

Type: System.Object
The specified ConfigurationSection, null if the section does not exist, or an internal object if the section is not accessible at run time.

Supported in: 4, 3.5, 3.0, 2.0

Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows XP SP2 x64 Edition, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
