VirtualPathProvider.InitializeLifetimeService Method

Gives the VirtualPathProvider object an infinite lifetime by preventing a lease from being created.

Namespace:  System.Web.Hosting
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
public override Object InitializeLifetimeService()

Return Value

Type: System.Object
Always null.

This method overrides the InitializeLifetimeService method in its base class. It always returns null and thereby prevents a lease from being created that would limit the VirtualPathProvider object's lifetime.
