HttpRequestMessageExtensionMethods.ToMessage Method

.NET Framework 4.5

Creates a Message instance from an HttpRequestMessage instance.

Namespace:  System.ServiceModel.Channels
Assembly:  System.ServiceModel.Channels (in System.ServiceModel.Channels.dll)

public static Message ToMessage(
	this HttpRequestMessage httpRequestMessage
)

Parameters

httpRequestMessage
Type: System.Net.Http.HttpRequestMessage

The HttpRequestMessage from which to create the Message instance.

Return Value

Type: System.ServiceModel.Channels.Message
The new Message instance.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type HttpRequestMessage. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).

The Message instance can be read, written and copied just as a traditional ByteStreamMessage instance. The Message instance can also "read" to retrieve the original HttpRequestMessage instance by calling the ToHttpRequestMessage extension method.
