X509Certificate.GetSerialNumberString Method

Returns the serial number of the X.509v3 certificate as a hexadecimal string.

Return Value

Type: System.String
The serial number of the X.509 certificate as a hexadecimal string.

The following example uses the GetSerialNumberString method to return a certificate's serial number as a string and displays it to the console.
