RijndaelManaged Methods

The methods of the RijndaelManaged class are listed here. For a complete list of RijndaelManaged class members, see the RijndaelManaged Members topic.

Public Methods

public methodClear (inherited from SymmetricAlgorithm) Releases all resources used by the SymmetricAlgorithm.
public methodCreateDecryptor Overloaded. Overridden. Creates a symmetric Rijndael decryptor object.
public methodCreateEncryptor Overloaded. Overridden. Creates a symmetric Rijndael encryptor object.
public methodEquals (inherited from Object) Overloaded. Determines whether two Object instances are equal.
public methodGenerateIV Overridden. Generates a random initialization vector (IV) to be used for the algorithm.
public methodGenerateKey Overridden. Generates a random Key to be used for the algorithm.
public methodGetHashCode (inherited from Object) Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table.
public methodGetType (inherited from Object) Gets the Type of the current instance.
public methodToString (inherited from Object) Returns a String that represents the current Object.
public methodValidKeySize (inherited from SymmetricAlgorithm) Determines whether the specified key size is valid for the current algorithm.

Protected Methods

protected methodDispose (inherited from SymmetricAlgorithm) Releases the unmanaged resources used by the SymmetricAlgorithm and optionally releases the managed resources.
protected methodFinalize (inherited from SymmetricAlgorithm) Overridden. Releases the unmanaged resources used by the SymmetricAlgorithm.

In C# and C++, finalizers are expressed using destructor syntax.

protected methodMemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) Creates a shallow copy of the current Object.
