HashAlgorithm.Clear Method

Releases all resources used by the HashAlgorithm class.

Namespace:  System.Security.Cryptography
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)
public void Clear()

This method is a simple call to the IDisposable.Dispose method.

Calling Dispose allows the resources used by the HashAlgorithm class to be reallocated for other purposes. For more information about Dispose, see Cleaning Up Unmanaged Resources.

.NET Framework Client Profile

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1

Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core Role not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core Role supported with SP1 or later; Itanium not supported)
