HttpListenerRequest.UserAgent Property

Gets the user agent presented by the client.

Namespace:  System.Net
Assembly:  System (in System.dll)

Public ReadOnly Property UserAgent As String

Property Value

Type: System.String
A String object that contains the text of the request's User-Agent header.

The User-Agent header typically contains text that identifies the name and version number of the software used to generate the request.

The UserAgent is null when there is no User-Agent header in the request.

        Console.WriteLine("Acceptable MIME types:")
For Each s As String In types
        Next s
    End If
' Display the language preferences for the response.
    types = request.UserLanguages
    If types IsNot Nothing Then
        Console.WriteLine("Acceptable natural languages:")
For Each l As String In types
        Next l
    End If

' Display the URL used by the client.
    Console.WriteLine("URL: {0}", request.Url.OriginalString)
    Console.WriteLine("Raw URL: {0}", request.RawUrl)
    Console.WriteLine("Query: {0}", request.QueryString)
