VerbsSecurity.Protect Field

Specifies an action that safeguards a resource from attack or loss. This field is introduced in Windows PowerShell 2.0.

Namespace: System.Management.Automation
Assembly: System.Management.Automation (in System.Management.Automation.dll)

'Usage
Dim value As String

value = VerbsSecurity.Protect

'Declaration
Public Const Protect As String
public static final String Protect
public const var Protect : String

This verb is paired with the Unprotect verb. For consistency with other cmdlets that perform the same action, do not use verbs such as Encrypt, Safeguard, or Seal for this action.

The verb portion of a cmdlet name specifies the action that is taken by the cmdlet and it is specified by the Cmdlet attribute. For more information about the declaration syntax that is used to specify the Cmdlet attribute, see Cmdlet Attribute Declaration.

For more information about the guidelines for selecting verb names, see Cmdlet Verb Names.
