PSEvent Class

[This topic is pre-release documentation and is subject to change in future releases. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]

Represents a .NET Framework event on an object that can be surfaced by using the Get-Member cmdlet. This class is introduced in Windows PowerShell 2.0.

Namespace: System.Management.Automation
Assembly: System.Management.Automation (in System.Management.Automation)
'Usage
Dim instance As PSEvent

public class PSEvent : PSMemberInfo
public class PSEvent extends PSMemberInfo
public class PSEvent extends PSMemberInfo

Events can also be surfaced by $object.PsObject.Members.

$timer = New-Object Timers.Timer
/>$timer.PsObject.Members | ? { $_.MemberType -eq "Event" }

Although it is possible to derive from this class, there is no established scenario for doing this and any attempt to do so might result in unexpected behavior.

System.Object
   System.Management.Automation.PSMemberInfo
    System.Management.Automation.PSEvent
Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
