System.IO.MemoryMappedFiles Namespace

The System.IO.MemoryMappedFiles namespace provides classes for using a memory-mapped file, which maps the contents of a file to an application’s logical address space.

  Class Description
Public class MemoryMappedFile Represents a memory-mapped file.
Public class MemoryMappedFileSecurity Represents the permissions that can be granted for file access and operations on memory-mapped files.
Public class MemoryMappedViewAccessor Represents a randomly accessed view of a memory-mapped file.
Public class MemoryMappedViewStream Represents a view of a memory-mapped file as a sequentially accessed stream.
  Enumeration Description
Public enumeration MemoryMappedFileAccess Specifies access capabilities and restrictions for a memory-mapped file or view.
Public enumeration MemoryMappedFileOptions Provides memory allocation options for memory-mapped files.
Public enumeration MemoryMappedFileRights Specifies access rights to a memory-mapped file that is not associated with a file on disk.
