SecurityTokenSerializer.CanReadKeyIdentifier Method

Determines whether this serializer can read the <KeyIdentifier> element referred to by the specified XML reader.

Parameters

reader
Type: System.Xml.XmlReader

An XmlReader to read the key identifier.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
true when the specified <KeyIdentifier> XML element can be read; otherwise, false.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

reader is null.

Classes that derive from the SecurityTokenSerializer class must override the CanReadKeyIdentifierCore(XmlReader) method. The CanReadKeyIdentifier(XmlReader) method calls the CanReadKeyIdentifierCore method.
