Returns the underlying type of the specified enumeration.

Parameters

enumType

An enumeration type.

Return Value

The underlying Type of enumType.

ArgumentNullException

enumType is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

ArgumentException

enumType is not an Enum.
