ServicedComponent Methods

Public Methods

public methodCreateObjRef (inherited from MarshalByRefObject) Creates an object that contains all the relevant information required to generate a proxy used to communicate with a remote object.
public methodDispose Overloaded. Releases the resources used by the ServicedComponent.
public methodstatic (Shared in Visual Basic)DisposeObject Finalizes the object and removes the associated COM+ reference.
public methodEquals (inherited from Object) Overloaded. Determines whether two Object instances are equal.
public methodGetHashCode (inherited from Object) Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table.
public methodGetLifetimeService (inherited from MarshalByRefObject) Retrieves the current lifetime service object that controls the lifetime policy for this instance.
public methodGetType (inherited from Object) Gets the Type of the current instance.
public methodInitializeLifetimeService (inherited from MarshalByRefObject) Obtains a lifetime service object to control the lifetime policy for this instance.
public methodToString (inherited from Object) Returns a String that represents the current Object.

Protected Methods

protected methodActivate This method is called by the infrastructure when the object is created or allocated from a pool. Override this method to add custom initialization code to objects.
protected methodCanBePooled This method is called by the infrastructure before the object is put back into the pool. Override this method to vote on whether the object is put back into the pool.
protected methodConstruct This method is called by the infrastructure just after the constructor is called, passing in the constructor string. Override this method to make use of the construction string value.
protected methodDeactivate This method is called by the infrastructure when the object is about to be deactivated. Override this method to add custom finalization code to objects when just-in-time (JIT) compiled code or object pooling is used.
protected methodDispose Overloaded. Releases the resources used by the ServicedComponent.
protected methodFinalize (inherited from Object) Overridden. Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by garbage collection.

In C# and C++, finalizers are expressed using destructor syntax.

protected methodMemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) Creates a shallow copy of the current Object.
