IClrObjectFactory.CreateFromAssembly Method

Activates a remote assembly through .NET remoting, using the assembly's configuration file.

Parameters

assembly: The name of the assembly to activate.

type: The name of the type to activate.

mode: Not used.

Return Value

An instance of the Object representing the type, with culture, arguments, and binding and activation attributes set to a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), or a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) if the type parameter is not found.

Exceptions

Exception type	Condition
SecurityException	A caller in the call chain does not have permission to access unmanaged code.
COMException	The class is not registered.
