Switch.DisplayName Property

Gets a name used to identify the switch.

Property Value

The name used to identify the switch. The default value is an empty string ("").

When you create a new Switch object, the DisplayName finds initial switch settings. For more information, see the Switch constructor and the TraceSwitch Configuration topic in the Visual Studio documentation.

The following code example displays the display name for the switch in use by a trace source. This code example is part of a larger example that can be found in the TraceSource class summary.
