StackFrame Methods

The methods of the StackFrame class are listed here. For a complete list of StackFrame class members, see the StackFrame Members topic.

Public Methods

public methodEquals (inherited from Object) Overloaded. Determines whether two Object instances are equal.
public methodGetFileColumnNumber Gets the column number in the file that contains the code that is executing. This information is typically extracted from the debugging symbols for the executable.
public methodGetFileLineNumber Gets the line number in the file that contains the code that is executing. This information is typically extracted from the debugging symbols for the executable.
public methodGetFileName Gets the file name that contains the code that is executing. This information is typically extracted from the debugging symbols for the executable.
public methodGetHashCode (inherited from Object) Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table.
public methodGetILOffset Gets the offset from the start of the Microsoft intermediate language (MSIL) code for the method that is executing. This offset might be an approximation depending on whether the just-in-time (JIT) compiler is generating debugging code or not. The generation of this debugging information is controlled by the DebuggableAttribute.
public methodGetMethod Gets the method in which the frame is executing.
public methodGetNativeOffset Gets the offset from the start of the native just-in-time (JIT)-compiled code for the method being executed. The generation of this debugging information is controlled by the DebuggableAttribute.
public methodGetType (inherited from Object) Gets the Type of the current instance.
public methodToString Overridden. Builds a readable representation of the stack trace.

Protected Methods

protected methodFinalize (inherited from Object) Overridden. Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by garbage collection.

In C# and C++, finalizers are expressed using destructor syntax.

protected methodMemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) Creates a shallow copy of the current Object.
