ProcessStartInfo.LoadUserProfile Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the Windows user profile is to be loaded from the registry.

Namespace: System.Diagnostics
Assembly: System (in system.dll)

public bool LoadUserProfile { get; set; }
/** @property */
public boolean get_LoadUserProfile ()

/** @property */
public void set_LoadUserProfile (boolean value)

public function get LoadUserProfile () : boolean

public function set LoadUserProfile (value : boolean)

Property Value

true to load the Windows user profile; otherwise, false.

This property is referenced if the process is being started using the user name, password, and domain.

If the value is true, the user's profile in the HKEY_USERS registry key is loaded. Loading the profile can be time-consuming, so it is best to use this value only if you must access the information in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry key.

Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000:  The profile is unloaded after the new process has been terminated, regardless of whether it has created child processes.

Windows XP:  The profile is unloaded after the new process and all child processes it has created have been terminated.

Windows 98, Windows 2000 SP4, Windows CE, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows Mobile for Pocket PC, Windows Mobile for Smartphone, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP SP2, Windows XP Starter Edition

The .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see System Requirements.
