SqlConnectionStringBuilder..::.UserInstance Property

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Property UserInstance As Boolean

Visual C++
public:
property bool UserInstance {
    bool get ();
    void set (bool value);
}
JScript

public function set UserInstance (value : boolean)

Property Value

Type: System..::.Boolean
The value of the UserInstance property, or False if none has been supplied.

This property corresponds to the "User Instance" key within the connection string. If the value passed in is null when you try to set the property, the UserInstance property is reset. If the value has not been set and the developer tries to retrieve the property, the return value is False.

NoteNote:

This feature is available only with the SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. For more information on user instances, see SQL Server Express User Instances (ADO.NET) and "User Instances for Non-Administrators" in SQL Server Books Online.
