SqlConnectionStringBuilder.Password Property

Gets or sets the password for the SQL Server account.

Namespace:  System.Data.SqlClient
Assembly:  System.Data (in System.Data.dll)
public string Password { get; set; }

Property Value

Type: System.String
The value of the Password property, or String.Empty if none has been supplied.

This property corresponds to the "Password" and "pwd" keys within the connection string.

If the value passed in is null when you try to set the property, the Password property is reset. If the value has not been set and the developer tries to retrieve the property, the return value is String.Empty.

To maintain the highest level of security, it is strongly recommended that you use the integrated security features of SQL Server, setting the IntegratedSecurity property to true instead.
