SqlClientPermission Methods

The methods of the SqlClientPermission class are listed here. For a complete list of SqlClientPermission class members, see the SqlClientPermission Members topic.

Public Methods

public methodAdd Overridden. Adds access for the specified connection string to the existing state of the permission.
public methodAssert (inherited from CodeAccessPermission) Declares that the calling code can access the resource protected by a permission demand through the code that calls this method, even if callers higher in the stack have not been granted permission to access the resource. Using Assert can create security vulnerabilities.
public methodCopy Overridden. Returns the SqlClientPermission as an IPermission.
public methodDemand (inherited from CodeAccessPermission) Forces a SecurityException at run time if all callers higher in the call stack have not been granted the permission specified by the current instance.
public methodDeny (inherited from CodeAccessPermission) Prevents callers higher in the call stack from using the code that calls this method to access the resource specified by the current instance.
public methodEquals (inherited from Object) Overloaded. Determines whether two Object instances are equal.
public methodFromXml (inherited from DBDataPermission) Overridden. Reconstructs a security object with a specified state from an XML encoding.
public methodGetHashCode (inherited from Object) Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table.
public methodGetType (inherited from Object) Gets the Type of the current instance.
public methodIntersect (inherited from DBDataPermission) Overridden. Returns a new permission object representing the intersection of the current permission object and the specified permission object.
public methodIsSubsetOf (inherited from DBDataPermission) Overridden. Returns a value indicating whether the current permission object is a subset of the specified permission object.
public methodIsUnrestricted (inherited from DBDataPermission) Returns a value indicating whether the permission can be represented as unrestricted without any knowledge of the permission semantics.
public methodPermitOnly (inherited from CodeAccessPermission) Prevents callers higher in the call stack from using the code that calls this method to access all resources except for the resource specified by the current instance.
public methodToString (inherited from CodeAccessPermission) Overridden. Creates and returns a string representation of the current permission object.
public methodToXml (inherited from DBDataPermission) Overridden. Creates an XML encoding of the security object and its current state.
public methodUnion (inherited from DBDataPermission) Overridden. Returns a new permission object that is the union of the current and specified permission objects.

Protected Methods

protected methodClear (inherited from DBDataPermission) Removes all permissions that were previous added using the Add method.
protected methodCreateInstance (inherited from DBDataPermission) Creates a new instance of a DataPermission class.
protected methodFinalize (inherited from Object) Overridden. Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by garbage collection.

In C# and C++, finalizers are expressed using destructor syntax.

protected methodMemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) Creates a shallow copy of the current Object.
