OracleString Less Than Operator

Note: This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 1.1 of the .NET Framework.

Performs a logical comparison of the two OracleString operands to determine if the first is less than the second.

[Visual Basic]
returnValue = OracleString.op_LessThan(x, y)
[C#]
public static OracleBoolean operator <(
 OracleString x,
 OracleString y
);
[C++]
public: static OracleBoolean op_LessThan(
 OracleString x,
 OracleString y
);
[JScript]
returnValue = x < y;

[Visual Basic] In Visual Basic, you can use the operators defined by a type, but you cannot define your own. You can use the LessThan method instead of the OracleString less than operator.

[JScript] In JScript, you can use the operators defined by a type, but you cannot define your own.

Arguments [Visual Basic, JScript]

x
An OracleString.
y
An OracleString.

Parameters [C#, C++]

x
An OracleString.
y
An OracleString.

Return Value

An OracleBoolean that is True if the first instance is less than the second instance, otherwise False. If either instance of OracleString is null, the Value of the OracleBoolean will be Null.
