Gets a value indicating the minimum number of bytes to retrieve from or send to the server during a read/write operation.
Assembly: System.Data.OracleClient (in System.Data.OracleClient.dll)
The value returned by the property is not a setting of the .NET Framework Data Provider for Oracle. Instead, it is the value that the Oracle Call Interface (OCI) uses when communicating with the server. Use to ensure that client-side chunks are the same size. Reading or writing in smaller chunks does not cache data, and causes a less-optimized round trip to the server, because a full packet is not received or sent.
Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core Role not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core Role supported with SP1 or later; Itanium not supported)
The .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see .NET Framework System Requirements.
