OracleClientFactory.CreateConnection Method

Returns a strongly typed DbConnection instance.

Namespace:  System.Data.OracleClient
Assembly:  System.Data.OracleClient (in System.Data.OracleClient.dll)
public override DbConnection CreateConnection()

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Common.DbConnection
A new strongly typed instance of DbConnection.

The following code fragment returns a strongly typed DbConnection instance.

Dim newFactory As OracleClientFactory = OracleClientFactory.Instance
Dim connection As DbConnection = newFactory.CreateConnection()

[C#]

OracleClientFactory newFactory = OracleClientFactory.Instance;
DbConnection connection = newFactory.CreateConnection();
