OracleClientFactory.CreateCommand Method

Returns a strongly typed DbCommand instance.

Namespace:  System.Data.OracleClient
Assembly:  System.Data.OracleClient (in System.Data.OracleClient.dll)
public override DbCommand CreateCommand()

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Common.DbCommand
A new strongly typed instance of DbCommand.

The following code fragment returns a strongly typed DbCommand instance.

Dim newFactory As OracleClientFactory = OracleClientFactory.Instance
Dim command As DbCommand = newFactory.CreateCommand()

[C#]

OracleClientFactory newFactory = OracleClientFactory.Instance;
DbCommand command = newFactory.CreateCommand();

Supported in: 4.5, 4, 3.5, 3.0, 2.0

Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core Role not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core Role supported with SP1 or later; Itanium not supported)
