TypeUsage.CreateDefaultTypeUsage Method

Creates a TypeUsage object with the specified conceptual model type.

Parameters

edmType: Type: System.Data.Metadata.Edm.EdmType
A EdmType for which the TypeUsage object is created.

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Metadata.Edm.TypeUsage
A TypeUsage object with the default facet values for the specified EdmType.

Remarks

If the [edmType] is a primitive type, such as String, Decimal, Binary or DateTime, this method invokes one of the corresponding methods declared in the TypeUsage class. Otherwise, it creates a TypeUsage object with the specified EdmType directly.
