DbConnection.BeginDbTransaction Method

Starts a database transaction.

Parameters

isolationLevel
Type: System.Data.IsolationLevel
Specifies the isolation level for the transaction.

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Common.DbTransaction
An object representing the new transaction.

If you are creating your own connection type, override this method to implement the code necessary to begin a transaction.

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1
