SpatialEdmFunctions.SpatialSymmetricDifference Method

.NET Framework 4.5

Creates a DbFunctionExpression that invokes the canonical 'SpatialSymmetricDifference' function with the specified arguments, which must each have an Edm.Geography or Edm.Geometry result type. The result type of spatialValue1 must match the result type of spatialValue2. The result type of the expression is the same as the type of spatialValue1 and spatialValue2.

Namespace:  System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.ExpressionBuilder.Spatial
Assembly:  System.Data.Entity (in System.Data.Entity.dll)

public static DbFunctionExpression SpatialSymmetricDifference(
	this DbExpression spatialValue1,
	DbExpression spatialValue2

Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression

An expression that specifies the first spatial value.

Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression

An expression that specifies the spatial value for which the symmetric difference with spatialValue1 should be computed.

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbFunctionExpression
A new DbFunctionExpression that returns the geometry value representing the symmetric difference of spatialValue2 with spatialValue1.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type DbExpression. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
