EdmFunctions.DiffHours Method

Creates a DbFunctionExpression that invokes the canonical 'DiffHours' function with the specified arguments, which must each have DateTime, DateTimeOffset or Time result type. The result type of the expression is Edm.Int32.

Parameters

timeValue1
Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression

An expression that specifies the first time value argument.

timeValue2
Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression

An expression that specifies the second time value argument.

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbFunctionExpression
A new DbFunctionExpression that returns the number of hours that is the difference between timeValue1 and timeValue2.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type DbExpression. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
