EdmFunctions.Day Method

Creates a DbFunctionExpression that invokes the canonical 'Day' function with the specified argument, which must have a DateTime or DateTimeOffset result type. The result type of the expression is Edm.Int32.

Parameters

dateValue
Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression

An expression that specifies the value from which the day should be retrieved.

Return Value

Type: System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbFunctionExpression
A new DbFunctionExpression that returns the integer day value from dateValue.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type DbExpression. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
