Enabling SQL Debugging

If you have the required software, you can enable SQL debugging by performing these steps. For more information, see Software Requirements.

To enable SQL debugging

  1. Run Remote Components Setup, which will install SQL debugging components on the server. For more information, see Setting Up Remote Debugging and Remote Components Setup.
  2. Set Up SQL Server permissions for debugging. For more information, see Setting SQL Server Permissions for Debugging.
  3. Configure DCOM for SQL debugging on the server for SQL debugging. For more information, see Configuring DCOM for SQL Debugging.
