Event Registration Guidelines

The following guidelines are helpful when you create event registration items:

  • The scope of an event sink is restricted to a single store.
  • Event registration items are automatically hidden when saved.
  • To be instantiated by Microsoft® Exchange, event sinks in a dynamic-link library (DLL) must have a surrogate host defined. Wrapping the DLL in a COM+ Application assigns the surrogate host automatically.
