The nntpauthenticate field specifies the authentication mechanism to use when authenticating to an Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) service over the network.

Remarks

This field is relevant only if the https://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/postusing field is set to cdoPostUsingPort (2). For more information, see the CdoPostUsing Enum.

Use the CdoProtocolsAuthentication Enum to set the value of the nntpauthenticate field. If this field is not set, no authentication is attempted when posting messages using the NNTP protocol.
