Exception Generation Tool

Windows Automotive 4.2

The exception generation tool (Exceptor) is used to fire various types of exceptions on demand. This tool can be used to test the AER component in Windows Automotive.

Usage

s exceptor <exception> [-?]

Flags and Arguments

<exception>
Indicates the exception to be generated by Exceptor. This argument can be one of the following:

Number Description
1 Causes an "Access Violation" exception.
2 Causes a "Stack Overflow" exception.
3 Causes an "Integer Divide By Zero" exception.
4 Causes an "Access Violation" exception by calling Delete on an invalid pointer.

If the <exception > argument is invalid, then command-line usage information is displayed.

-?
Displays command-line usage information.

Example Commands

s exceptor 1
Throws an "Access Violation" exception.
s exceptor 2
Throws a "Stack Overflow" exception.
