Description

Removes the File menu from My Computer and Windows Explorer, and disables the File menu in Internet Explorer.

This policy does not prevent users from using other methods to perform tasks available on the File menu.

Note

This policy was documented incorrectly on the Explain tab in Group Policy for Windows 2000. The Explain tab fails to mention that this policy also affects Internet Explorer.
