How To Install an RTC Client Application

When you install your RTC client application, your setup for that application should ensure that all the binaries for RTC Client API version 1.3 are installed and that an application manifest is installed with the application.

For information about how to install the RTC Client API binaries, see How To Install Side-by-Side RTC DLL.

For information about how to create an application manifest for an RTC client application, see How to Create a Manifest for an RTC Client Application.

In addition, you should consider how your application and the RTC Client API handles firewalls and NATs. See Firewalls and NATs.

The RTC Client version 1.3 SDK now provides RtcSxsPolicies.msi, which installs policies that redirect any application using the side-by-side DLLs of the RTC Client API so that they use the 1.3 version binaries. See How To Install Side-by-Side RTC DLL.
